"In both Zen and shiatsu we are dealing with something that cannot be explained rationally but that should be felt by the living body."  Shizuto Masunaga

I qualified in Holistic Acupressure in 2020 and Zen Shiatsu in August 2024.  I have been on a healing path for 20 years, which has taken many forms, but the thread running through has been a desire for deeper connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.  I have found bodywork to be a lifeline on my own journey; physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Working with the body holistically, seeing the body-mind as a whole feels essential for understanding and supporting wellness.  Holistic Acupressure and Shiatsu offer us connection and restoration on all levels - body, mind, emotion, spirit - through physical touch. Heart centred bodywork means to me the medicine of human touch, stimulating our natural capacity to heal and be well.  I am also a yoga alliance registered yoga teacher and a teacher in training in movement medicine.

"As a very busy Physiotherapist I have found the perfect professional, empathic and knowledgeable practitioner with Kate.  I have regular shiatsu and these excellent treatments,  in such a safe environment, allow me to focus fully on myself and then the week ahead is busy and enjoyable. Thank you Kate."
